About the Artist
Welcome! I’m Ain
A Malaysian-born artist who has called Belgium home since 2013. My journey into painting began somewhat unexpectedly. I first picked up a brush during the early days of the pandemic, using art as a sanctuary to navigate those uncertain times. Though I studied history and art, financial constraints once pulled me away from this path, but life had other plans.
Without formal degrees or diplomas in fine arts, my approach to painting is grounded in self-teaching, fueled by boundless curiosity, and a touch of daring. My skills are born from a blend of creativity, persistence, and a soft hand willing to experiment. Here, I invite you to step into my world—a canvas where dreams from the past have blossomed anew.

ARTIST STATEMENT 1st June 2026
As a Malaysian born and raised in a small village with very little development during those times, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature everywhere I looked. The endless greenery, wild bushes, and natural landscapes became an essential part of my everyday environment and childhood memories.
Because of this deep connection, nature has always remained something my soul longs for and finds comfort in. These artworks reflects that personal bond — a sense of peace, belonging, and appreciation for the natural world that continues to inspire me throughout my life.
My art is rooted in the emotional language of nature. In the quiet power of blooming fields, the ever changing skies, and the golden hush of sunset light. These recurring elements are more than just scenery. They are symbols of life’s rythms and the unspoken truth we feel but cannot always express.
The flowers in my works represent fragility and strength – they bloom despite the seasons, teaching us about resilience, impermanence and beauty in stillness
The landscapes are not just a places – they are state of being. Open fields, coastal curves, and green hills becomes methapors for freedom, gorunding and belonging.
The sunsets – They are heartbeats of change. They symbolize transition, acceptance, and moments of awe that remind us how light softens even the sharpest edge of the day.
Each piece is a meditation on how deeply we are connected to the natural world, and how much we need its presence to feel whole, calm and alive.
Sincerely
Ain

Art has always been my sanctuary, my compass in an unpredictable word. It is a space i call home, where i can explore the vast range of human emotions and the complexities of modern society, For me, creating art is not just a form of expression- it is a process of finding the truth, a means of navigating the intricate layers of our existence.

"We Are All the Same, but Different"
When I first hear the phrase, "we are all the same, but different" it may sound like an easy topic--something straightforward to discuss about in broad terms. And yet, the more i dig into it the more complex it's become. For me expressing this thought is about trying to capture the intricacies of human identity and connection. It's not as simple as saying we're all alike in some basic level, nor is it about celebrating our differences. It's about recognizing that each person carries a unique perspective shaped by experiences, culture, and personal beliefs, while also sharing certain core qualities that connect us.
In a way, it's about seeing beyond the surface, embracing that the same humanity flows through us all, even as it manifests in different ways. So, even if this idea feels like common ground, it's one i findendlessly intricate to explore. And perhaps, that's what make it worth discussing. It's simple in concept but infinitely layered in practice.
